235 This the Width
75 This is the size from the Bead to the Tread
R This the Tire Construction in this case "R" means Radial
15 This is the Rim Size
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration provides a Safety Checklist that included Tips and Safety Advise. The checklist includes Tire Pressure, Tire Inspections, Vehicle Weight, Tire Temperature and Towing. The NHTSA also has UTQG (Uniform Tire Quality Grading) system on their site.
