Second are the profile of the tires, they really have to make the rims to look right. Dont really agree about the car manufactures designing crappy looking rims. It seems they would have more to gain by designing the the types of rims customers want. The stock rims on the new Gt 500 Mustang and that bad ass 2010 Camaro come to mind.
